The point is the story, isn't it? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once upon a time, long ago, beyond the nine mountains and the nine waters was a wild world, a forest full of wetlands. It was a magical world of wild animals and plants where no human foot had ever set foot. The sun warmed the vegetation and mighty animals ran over the roots. New trees grew and new trees grew in this naturally rich environment, and old trees lay down to rest... They never died, they just turned into the rock that 20 million years later man named coal. Kuolm. Black gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It carries so much energy that it has even been burned for warmth and light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the artist Marjeta Hribar<\/strong> digs it up and says, \"Don't burn it, wear it.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the story of a rock that travels through time, changing all the time, while enriching human lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why \"burn\" and forget your history? Let's renew it in a way that preserves the heart and soul, the message and meaning of our roots, while becoming something new and innovative. Something that we are happy to wear and show Slovenia's pride to the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuolmi jewellery for music and film stars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This month, Marjeta Hribar, a designer of jewellery and coal products from Zasavje, received a special honour. Her Kuolmi products have been nominated for the world's most prestigious Grammy Awards. Last year, the organisers of the event invited her to design a special jewellery collection for the glamourous event. As the event coincided with the Oscars, her jewellery was also presented to famous actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hribarjeva assumes that the invitation was prompted by a lengthy eight-page profile interview with her published last year by New York's largest online art magazine. The event organisers recognised her unique style, ecological and sustainable manufacturing principles and unique use of coal in fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She created 60 unique pieces for the nominees of the most prestigious music award and the world's media representatives who attended the event. They also received a presentation on the story of Kuolmi coal and products in elegant packaging, as well as a link to the video presentation and website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were no specific requirements from the organisers, just that the pieces were suitable for both genders and of equal value. So she designed a collection of bracelets for celebrities with a combination of coal and copper. This is the first time she has combined coal with a semi-precious metal, as this was not possible before due to the sensitivity of coal to high temperatures. A special process invented by Hribarjeva now allows her to do just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New collection coming to the Slovenian market in the coming months Kuolmi<\/strong>inspired by the exclusive collection that travelled to America. This one combines coal with semi-precious metals and will be as unique as the celebrity gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
