The part of the site where the City of Acrobats will be built is a growing area protected orchid species Red-ringed Cuckoo<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>(Dactylorhiza incarnata<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have already taken action to preserve it.<\/strong> The meadow where the orchid grows has been fenced and marked - so human movement and the keeping of domestic animals are not allowed in the area.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In cooperation with the Slovenian Nature Conservation Institute, OE Celje<\/strong>, we have drawn up a plan to set up replacement habitat<\/strong> - wet grassland, which will be created in the immediate vicinity of the construction site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for respecting nature with us. The City of Acrobats will grow in harmony with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions and answers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How and by whom was the plant discovered?<\/strong> According to the Slovenian Nature Conservation Institute, OE Celje, the plant was discovered in 2017 by random walkers in the area and then reported to the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How big is the site?<\/strong> In last year's count, we detected 38 plants, and the area we have secured is even wider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is this the only site or has another one been discovered in Laconca?<\/strong> Only in the City of Acrobats area, the others are unknown to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it perhaps surprising that it grows in Laconia or in Zasavje, given the characteristics of the landscape, climate and pollution?<\/strong> No, according to the representative of the Slovenian Nature Conservation Institute, OE Celje, it is a case that the material used to fill the area was transferred from another location where the plant is already growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any plans to move the site to another location in Laconca or in the City of Acrobats? Or will it stay where it is?<\/strong> Yes, the relocation is planned to the northern part of the City of Acrobats, where there is a very similar habitat and which, according to the representative of the Slovenian Nature Conservancy, OE Celje, is suitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will the site be included in the City of Acrobats?<\/strong> Yes, as part of our care for endangered plant species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is any additional, special care already being taken for the plants in the Laconca?<\/strong> Yes, the orchid site has been fenced off with a special wooden fence and a sign in front of it with information about the orchid and the restricted area.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
