Štefan Pavlinjek, along with his wife, owns the group ROTO, which today comprises 12 companies with production in four European countries; in Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia and Croatia. ROTO Group employs approximately 250 people. It is the main driving force in the development of tools, products and technologies within the company.

The group's products are sold under the ROTO brand name on all continents except the Arctic and Antarctic, and are divided into several sales programmes – components for the nautical industry, components for agricultural machinery, for the automotive industry, components for other industries, Roto Water, Roto Sport, Roto Agri and Roto Garden. The company has its own development department where prototypes and tools are made and materials are prepared. With the help of the development department, a product development system is established from idea to final product.

In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, he is also active in numerous business-related institutions. He was President of the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia, also Member and representative for Slovenia of the World Rotomolding Organisation ARM. He is also active as an organiser of business exchanges, a wine knight and a sommelier.
