Remember the beginning of the corona, when the shops ran out of yeast? They say that every crisis carries the seed of opportunity, which Špela Pibernik and Klemen Habat found and sprouted. Parents of three girls (the fourth on the way), they always wanted to have their own business. After too many ideas, it fell on fertile ground ...

Have you heard of yeast dough? Yeasts are wild yeasts. They are a simple mixture of flour and water that starts to ferment when exposed to heat. This is exactly what they tried and found the yeast dough to be extremely tasty! Of course, as baker's yeast has only one type of yeast, there are over 50 different types of lactic acid bacteria and over 20 types of naturally occurring yeasts in yeast, which creates a fuller flavour.

It takes about 4 - 7 days to make a dough like this, so they found a way to simplify it - after some testing, they found the ideal mix and a way to create a dough with yeast that you can freeze and that stays airy and tasty.

After not having the best mentoring experience and therefore being rejected for the final selection Start Slovenia, they were recommended to Catapult, where a mentor took them under his wing. Rok Starič, owner of the food company Rok's nut and co-owner of Kooperativa 103.

(Of course, he wanted to try this dough first. Action - picnic, dough, oven, pizzas ... Is it good? No, it's superb!)

"When I don't know something, I can call Roko. He knows or finds someone who knows. We can learn from his mistakes, so we don't need to repeat them. He has many initiatives that we would not have thought of on our own. So he gets you out of your comfort zone. We are not as far along in our thinking as he is, who already knows certain things and sees opportunities where we do not. You can see that he has already set up his own business, so he gives advice in a very practical, concrete way, with the right contacts, advice...", says Špela about the mentoring support.

This launched them as entrepreneurs.

In just a few months, they have already agreed to sell their frozen yeast dough in almost 20 shops, they have already toasted their first milestone of 1,000 sales, and we will see them soon. in Getting Ahead (formerly The Right Idea) ...

But most of all, they are happy to be on the perfect path to their dream of a successful family business, where they can work together every day and create ideas long into the night, when the children's busy-ness has died down. They say they have Love2Bake.
