He is less well known for his as yet unknown artistic talent for creating exceptional gift pieces for musicians and for renovating old pianos. It is from this that the unique story of Pianissimo emerges.

In 2020, he entered a tabaccaria in Sicily out of curiosity. He admired the artfully crafted pipes. He was so taken by them that he left the shop one of the few non-smokers with a new pipe in his hand. The more he looked at it, the more he was convinced that, "I could have done that myself." He had been cradled with an endless curiosity about how to make - anything. He is interested in materials, he is interested in manufacturing processes, he is interested in technology... Interest leads to experimentation, experimentation leads to experience, experience leads to mastery.

So he delved into the manufacture of prestigious taps and started making them himself. The pipe in the picture is for a drummer friend. See more of his taps >>  "Ah, it's just for a hobby," he comments modestly.

His colleagues knew that he obviously knew how to work with wood, so one day he was asked, "Would you be able to make me a rack for my guitars? I have a house full of guitars and nowhere to put them."

In an instant, he had an idea already in mind. First the wooden frame. Then the finishing touches. Cut-outs. Led lights. A little more complication and embellishment, a few more details and important little things... It was done:

During his 17 years in the music trade, he became increasingly convinced that the music world was lacking gifts for musicians. So not musical instruments per se, but original, interesting gifts. So the guitar rack was just a prelude to the logical next step: making interesting pieces for gifts for musicians. Racks, stands, hangers, boards ...

But that's not all. As a musician, he attends many events where his artistic soul cannot escape the sight of pianos, which are often a decorative element, even for serving food. "It could be done better..." he muses to himself.

It didn't take long before he got an old, really old piano and started to rebuild it. Key by key, string by string, every piece, every detail... After two months of work, the piano you can see now in the Guliver restaurant was born. It's fascinating just to sit there, sipping a coffee and watching people's reactions when their eyes land on this masterpiece. "It's happening now that customers are going there deliberately to see the piano, like a landmark, to see it in person. It's a good feeling ..."

Given his uniqueness in the market, the response of his clients and the increasing demand, he says that now is finally the time to turn the combination of a regular job and an afternoon hobby into a hobby. A hobby that is also his business. "Now I really want to. I've had enough of driving to Ljubljana," he smiles.

What are your goals with Pianissimo? "First of all, I would like to have all the necessary machinery and workshop in one place. For now, I'm going from one friend to another, because everyone has a different machine that comes in handy - I'm lucky to have friends like that.

I am modest by nature, but I love to dream. If I give something away, it has to be perfect. I don't demand anything else. I will be perfectly happy with one small business that will give me and my family a comfortable life. I would like to employ a few more people so that we can work together in an artistic musical spirit."

A remarkable story is emerging in Zasavje Pianissimo. A story that is already making its mark.
