My father often said: there can only be one cheapest. But there can be many best.
We're already struggling, but we'd rather struggle with added value than with nothing.
We go to an event when people pick up their phones and start scrolling through social media. But we win when people pick up their phones and want to take pictures.
We need to ensure not just good food, but the entire experience. Today, we mostly don't go hungry in the world; we even have too many events. When I'm invited somewhere, I want something nice to happen to me. That's how we approach every event – the discussion about what people will eat comes right at the very end.
We deal with poor grades very responsibly.
Sometimes notoriety can be a strain, for example when you want to be left in peace with your family, but on the other hand, there are many wonderful moments that notoriety brings you.
I greatly admire people who enter any profession with great passion and enthusiasm.
There were many difficult moments. From the home garage, where we started, my father built a house of 2500 square metres. Everyone thought he had gone mad. But even today, the house serves its purpose. At that time, he didn't have the money to get a new phone line. We children would sit next to the phone at home and pick up the receiver so people could reach us.


If we don't promote Slovenian, then who will?
What did Mum and Dad give me? Firstly, that one simply has to work. And secondly – that they presented this profession to their children as something beautiful.
If you know how to quarrel in an organised way, that's an advantage of family businesses. That can't happen in large corporations. Here, we tell each other everything. That way, we can then solve everything.
One is ownership, the other is an operational position within a company. The bane of many companies is that they don't differentiate between these two.
If we don't grow, we will simply go down.
