Luka Predovnik was furnishing an apartment with his girlfriend, and naturally, they wanted to make it nice and pleasant to live in. However, they hit a snag with the crates for their two dogs. »All the crates on the market were ugly. Then you have to hide them away somewhere in the most hidden corner so they don't spoil the nice apartment.« He thought – why not try to make a nice crate himself that would match the apartment's decor?

»I hadn't even thought about selling something like it, until visitors started coming and asking me where I bought it.« But the questions kept coming, leading to genuine interest.

Three animal-loving friends were invited for a beer to be convinced: »What if we created premium, bespoke dog kennels that would fit into any space?« Kennels that offered comfort, safety, and elegance. And so, four friends – Luka, Matej, Sebastjan, and Klemen – embarked on this project.

The first product was sold on bolha.com. »And we wouldn't have sold that either if Matej hadn't nagged – Come on. «I’d be constantly fixing and refining things,” admits Luka, thankful to all three for their help.

Sales happened almost by themselves, through word of mouth. They get two to three orders a month. Even from Switzerland.

»That was an adventure...« Luka laughs, recalling the memory. »Where the Swiss bloke found us, I don't know, probably on TikTok. And I see that the postage for such a heavy thing is quite expensive. In fact, we'd have the same costs if all four of us..." Don't want toand we'll deliver this car and box ourselves – and still fine«we'll have an opportunity," they did. We can only imagine the customer's surprise when, in the middle of Switzerland, he saw four Slovenians before him, who had delivered the goods he had ordered online. After complications at customs, after awkwardness due to not knowing the language, after fumbling with papers, after arguments and even threats from customs officers... they were ultimately left with a fun story with a happy ending to tell over a beer.

Where did Luka, a trained mechanic, learn all the skills to create such a beautiful piece? »Well, I don't know, you try a bit, you learn a bit off YouTube, and it works,« he says humbly. »I enjoy socialising, I enjoy working, I enjoy learning new things.« See, that's why. Of course, there are more complications than successes on such a path. But just when he wanted to give up, an order came from Switzerland.
